Final: Monday, December 5, 3:00-6:00 pm, in class. Missed it? There will be NO MAKE-UP AT ALL, under no circumstances, neither for homework, nor for the midterms, nor for the final exam. If you miss a midterm or a homework deadline, don't worry! The system is flexible: You can miss two homework without consequences. If you miss one midterm, your final will simply weigh more. Grading Homework will simply record regularity of your work, independently of the quality. So, do not waste your time copying other people's work! Returning 8 out of the 10 weekly homework gives you full HW score. Midterms count for 15% each. However, if you do better on the final than on one of the midterms, your lowest midterm grade is dropped and the final counts 75% instead of 60%. In short, your overall final grade will be the best of the following two variants: 10% homework + 30% for both midterms + 60% final. 10% homework + 15% best midterm + 75% final. Regrades on midterms must be requested immediately when picking up the exam. Exams must be picked-up within two weeks of the exam date. After this time, no requests for corrections will be honored.
