Modern Trends in Operator Algebras Conference
UCLA Department of Mathematics will be hosting a conference "Modern Trends in Operator Algebras," March 25-29, 2023 organized by Sri Kunnawalkam Elayavalli, Sorin Popa, and Dima Shlyakhtenko.
Speakers include: I. Chifan, A. Connes, M. Dadarlat, Priyanga Ganesan, B. Hayes, C. Houdayer, A. Ioana, D. Jekel, M. Junge, A. Kechris, M. Kennedy, M. Musat, N. Ozawa, J. Peterson, G. Pisier, M. Rieffel, M. Rørdam, D. Shlyakhtenko, S. Vaes, D. Voiculescu.
We will also use this occasion to honor the memory of Ed Effros. There will be a dinner in his honor on Sunday, March 26th.
Visitor information: the conference will be held at the UCLA Mathematics Department. In addition to several hotels in the UCLA area in Westewood, campus hotels include the UCLA Guesthouse and the Luskin Conference Center and Hotel.
