I am a professor and the Michael Brin Endowed Chair in Mathematics at the University of Maryland, College Park.

I am also a professor at the University of California Los Angeles, currently on leave.

My main research interest is a branch of mathematical logic called model theory, more specifically Shelah's classification (stability, simplicity, NIP, NTP2, ...) and its applications to algebra, geometry, combinatorics and computer science.
