The MDT is slated to be offered online on June 1, 2013. If there are technical difficulties, the paper and pencil exam will be offered during each freshman summer orientation session and limited times during each school year. Please check back regularly for updates.

(If we implement the paper and pencil test and you would like to take the MDT during a *summer orientation session*, you may contact the Orientation Office at (310) 206-6685 for dates and times. The MDT is generally given on the first day of every summer freshmen orientation session.)

  • Students do not need to register for the test. Click on the following link to begin: www...
  • Students will need to establish their Bruin Online login and password in order to take the test. (More information on estalishing your Bruin Online account can be found on the follwoing website: https://www.bol.ucla.edu/)
  • Calculators are optional.
  • Students have 30 days after the first exam to retake the exam. Students can only attempt and retake the test once each term. If students are unable to reach a desired score after the retake, students will have to wait until the next quarter the exam is offered to take the test again.
  • Scores will be viewable after completing the exam, but scores will only be uploaded into student records during the corresponding time frame listed above. Students will not not be able to enroll into courses until the scores are uploaded to their records.
  • The most recent score replaces earlier MDT scores, even if the most recent score is lower than the previous score.
