The main textbook for the first two parts of the course will be
"Differential
geometry of curves and surfaces" by M. do Carmo. Additional texts
will be distributed as necessary.
Attendance and Class participation (10%) + Homework (10%)+Midterm(20%)+Project(30%)+Final(30%)

Class Project
As a part of this class, you will be asked to write a short
survey/research
paper or make in-class presentation on a topic related to the class
material.
We will start discuss the possible topics shortly.
