Local Information and Funding
Location.
All talks will take place at the
Institute for Pure and
Applied Mathematics (IPAM). A
campus map is available.
Hotel Information
Participants are requested to make their own hotel reservations
and travel arrangements.
Please see a
list of nearby hotels maintained by the mathematics
department. The UCLA Guesthouse, Hilgard House, Claremont Hotel and
Royal Palace Hotel are all within an easy walking distance
of the conference site.
Please make your hotel reservations soon.
The conference takes place on a holiday weekend and
hotels may fill up quickly.
The UCLA Guesthouse may ask you for the name of a "faculty
sponsor"; please give any of the organizers' names.
Funding information
The National Science Foundation
is expected to provide partial funding for the conference.
Priority in funding will be given to researchers
not having current NSF support and especially to junior
researchers.
If you are not a US citizen or permanent resident,
or if you are coming from outside of the United States, you
should be aware of certain restrictions, outlined below:
- Your ticket should be purchased through a US
flag carrier (codeshare flights with foreign airlines
are OK, but the ticket should be purchased through a US
airline)
- You should be traveling on a visa that allows
reimbursement of expenses. You must be:
- A US Citizen, or a legal permanent resident, or a refugee,
or
- Hold an A1/A2, B1/B2, F1, J1/J2, K1/K2, O1/O2,
P1/P2/P3 visa, or
-
Be traveling under a visa waiver program (and have
WB or WT stamped in your arrival/departure record).
We cannot reimburse persons holding an H visa,
unless employed at UCLA.
