Textbook: T. W. Gamelin, Complex Analysis, Springer UTM Series.
Material: We will cover parts of Chapters I--VIII.
Exams: There will be a midterm and a final exam.  You will automatically get a failing grade if you do not come to the final examination.  If you have a conflict with the time of the final exam, you should discuss it with me within the first two weeks of class.  There will be no make up midterms unless you have a documented and severe reason for missing the midterm. 
Homework and quizzes: homework is due weekly on Fridays.  Graded homework will be returned to you in your discussion section on Thursday.  There will be several quizzes in your discussion section throughout the quarter.  Graded quizzes will be returned to you in the discussion section. There will be no make-up quizzes, and late homework will not be accepted.
Grading: Your final class grade will be based on your performance on the midterm, the quizzes, homework, and the final exam.  Your two lowest homework scores and one lowest quiz score will be dropped when computing the final class grade.  Your final class score will be
