Title: Abelian Modular symbols and $\mu$-invariant

Abstract: In this talk, we discuss abelian modular symbols, which is an abelian version of Mazur's modular symbols and its use of defining Dirichlet p-adic L-functions. Using homological arguments, we give a new proof of Ferrero-Washington's theorem and discuss the possibility of extending the argument to the case of modular p-adic L-function.
