Title:  Hasse invariants and the bad reduction
of unitary Shimura varieties, II

Abstract: In the second part, I will talk on my current research.
I will propose a generalization of the Hasse invariant for
some unitary Shimura varieties, which are moduli spaces
of abelian varieties with additional structure.
A generalization of the theory of Ekedahl and Oort will
play an important role here.
I will also give some applications to the geometry and
l-adic cohomology of unitary Shimura varieties.
This part will be geometric and some knowledge of
arithmetic geometry would be preferable. However,
I still hope that some part will be also understandable
to non-specialists.
