Title: Base change and values of automorphic forms </br>

Abstract:</br>
The relative trace formula is a tool developed by Jacquet in order
to study period integrals - especially in relation to functoriality.
I will review the relative trace formula and its connection to
a recent conjecture of Sarnak about L^infty norms of automorphic forms.
