Title:Lower bounds for L-functions
Abstract:
In 1899 de la Vallee Poissin proved a good lower bound for Riemann's zeta function on Re(s)=1. Using the theory of Eisenstein series, Sarnak can now prove the same result from a completely new approach. In this talk, we shall discuss a generalization of Sarnak's method for arbitrary automorphic L. Our work is joint with Erez Lapid and Peter Sarnak.
