Title: Sums of Powers of Primes

Abstract: The Waring-Goldbach problem is the intersection of Waring's problem and Goldbach's conjecture; it asks how many terms are required to represent every sufficiently large integer, satisfying certain congruence relations, as a sum of k-th powers of primes. I will discuss the history of the problem and what is currently known about it, and I will show how to remove the congruence relations from the statement of the problem.
