Final projects - Shut The Box
In this class, my students spend most of the quarter working towards a final project. The homework assignments are carefully structured to make this task manageable. By the end of the class, my students have made a website with…
- a login page requiring a password, forMichael8andSam3 (implemented using PHP);
- a welcome page which remembers a chosen username for an hour (implemented using cookies);
- a simple game called Shut The Box (who's functionality depends on JavaScript);
- a scores page which is updated automatically if someone else plays the game (implemented using AJAX Post and Get requests and Timers).
Here is a website that one of my students made. Recall, from above, that the password is forMichael8andSam3. That's because I'm Michael and Sam is my TA; my favorite number is 8 and theirs is 3!
