Material covered:

Sec. 1.1- 1.4, 2.1-2.5, 4.1-4.3, 5.1-5.4, 6.1-6.3.

Time and Location: MWF 10:00-10:50, MS 5137

Exam schedule:

Midterm:  Monday, May 5 (in class).

Final Exam: Wednesday, June 11, 2008, 3:00-6:00

There are no make- up exams. Bring a Photo ID card to midterm and to the final.

Grading:

The final grade of the course will be determined by the higher one of the following two scores:

  1. Homework - 20%, Midterm - 20%, Final examination - 60%;
  2. Homework - 20%, Final examination -80%.
No grade "I" (Incomplete) will be granted without taking the midterm.

Calculators: No calculators  (and other electronic devices) will be allowed on the exams.

Homework:

Homework will be assigned weekly during the Friday's lecture and should be turned in to TA on Thursday of the following week. No late homework will be accepted.
