      - Missed it?

      -
If you miss an exam or a homework deadline, don't worry! The system is flexible: You can miss two homework without consequences. Also, if you miss one midterm, your final will simply weigh more. Things happen - I understand. However, instead of giving make-up exams, I build in some flexibility in the grading scheme. So, you don't need to come and tell me what happened because
there will be NO MAKE-UP AT ALL, under no circumstances, neither for homework, nor for the midterms, nor for the final exam.

      - Grading

      -
Homework will simply record regularity of your work, independently of the quality. So, do not waste your time copying other people's work! Returning 8 out of the 10 weekly homework gives you full HW score.

Midterms count for 15% each. However, if you do better on the final than on one of the midterms, your lowest midterm grade is dropped and the final counts 75% instead of 60%.
In short, your overall final grade will be the best of the following two variants:

        - 10% homework + 30% for both midterms + 60% final.

        - 10% homework + 15% best midterm + 75% final.

Regrades on midterms must be requested within two weeks of the exam date. After this time, no requests for corrections will be honored.
