2. Due dates

We'll use a point system to spread out the dates that people do the assignments. This will prevent bunching up for our own class and will give some flexibility in case the lab is crowded because of other classes.

Each lab assignment will have a ``target due date'' and a point value announced in the handout for the assignment. You can pass in assignments a few days early or up to a few days late. For each day late you get one debit (point off). For each day early you get one credit towards past or future debits. An early assignment will never give more than five credits. Weekend days and holidays count for credits but not for debits.

For example, if there were three assignments and you pass in the first one 2 days late, the second 3 days late, and the third 4 days early, you would have $ -2 -3 +4 = -1$, so one point off.

At the end of the quarter, unused credits do not give extra points, but if you need a job recommendation in the future I can mention that you did assignments early. A potential employer should find that positive.

Caution: The lab may be closed after the last day of classes, so you'll need to have all work done by then.
