Announcement: On Thursday, January 10 we'll have a demo of the UCLA Visualization Portal in MS 5628. The Portal is a high-quality computer-graphics projection facility with a triple-wide screen.
Since the class is large, we'll split into two groups: one during the regular class period, 1-2, and one immediately after, 2-3. We'll be taking signups in class. The advantage of signing up for the second is that it will probably be a smaller group so you're more apt to get a good seat, which is best for stereo viewing.
Go directly to the Portal rather than coming to the classroom. The Portal is on the 5th floor more or less under our classroom on the 6th floor.
Be sure to come on time, as entry may be prohibited once the demo starts. If you arrive late for the first demo you may attend the second if you wish.
Any people auditing the course may also attend the demo.
