- Jan. 12 Due to the holiday on Monday, Stephanie Molnar's Monday office hour is moved to Tuesday, 10:10-11:00 that week.
- Jan. 19 Solutions to the assigned problems can be downloaded in ps format from the Homework page by clicking on the roman numeral for the week interested in.
- Jan. 21 Despite the fact that I did not manage to cover the material intended, the homework problems that have to be turned in on Monday are doable with what we have covered. In particular problem 62 uses the ideas done at the end of class.

- Jan. 27 Stephanie Molnar offers an additional office hour on Thursday, Feb. 3rd, 11:00-12:00 in MS 3931. EVERYONE is welcome.
- Jan. 28 Note that for the first midterm we will be in a different room: FowlerA103B. Make sure you check out where it is before the exam, so you won't be late.
- Jan. 26 We skip the homework on section 1.4 that is assigned on Monday, Jan. 31st, i.e. you do not need to turn in problem 26 from section 1.4, neither do you need to worry about parametric curves on the first midterm.
- Jan. 27 Homework solutions can now be downloaded in pdf format as well.
- Feb. 4 Solutions and scores for midterm I can be found on the Exams page. Exams can be picked up on Monday during my office hours right after class. Exams that are not picked up on Monday, will be given to the TA's, who distribute them in discussion section.
- Feb. 5 My office hours this Thursday, February 10th are changed to Friday, February 11th, 10:00-11:30.
- Feb. 14 Homework problem #9, page 497 assigned on Thursday of week 5 is supposed to be the probelm from 'Concept Checks' rather than from 'Exercises', i.e. on the top of page 497.

- Mar. 1 Solutions to the review problems are posted to the offices of the TA's and my office. Please do not remove them!

- Mar. 9 We are not covering section 11.8 as announced in the syllabus. That means that you do not need to do the homework that is assigned on Monday and Tuesday of the tenth week, but please look for announcements that a different assignment might be made.
- Mar. 10 Note that there is a change in the homework that is due next week: Sec. 11.7 problem 8 is due on Monday of week X; Sec. 11.7 problem 44 is due on Wednesday of week X. See also the assignment page.
- Mar. 13 Wednesday we 'solve' problem 45 from section 11.7 which is on Least Square Fit. To down load a handout, click on one of the two formats below: [ps] or [pdf].
