- Jan 31st The curve for exams, homework and final grade is:
In this class ROUGHLY the top 25% of students get an A, the next 35% a B, the next 30% a C, the next 5% a D and the remaining 5% an F. This does not include the +- scale yet, which exists.
You can look up your grades on your my.ucla page. There should be a link called 'class grades'. Once you see your score, you can click on that, to see the statistics for it as well as your placement in the class. For example:
Your Class Rank for this item: 103 / 129
which puts you in the 80% tile of the class, which would translate into a C ROUGHLY.- Jan 29th I found an umbrella last Friday in the room where midterm one took place.
- Jan 26th The scores for midterm one are available in the gradebook. The solutions for midterm one can be downloaded from the exams page.
- Jan 22nd Note the following change in the homework turn in policy: If you know you won't make it to class in time on a Friday (or Wednesday of week III or VII), you have a chance to drop the homework by my office (MS 6931) any time before it is due.
