Department of Economics Undergraduate Research Fellows Program
The UCLA Department of Economics is pleased to announce a new Undergraduate Research Fellows Program. The Research Fellows program is modeled after our popular Sharpe Fellows Program and will select the most talented undergraduates to work side-by-side with a faculty member on the professor’s research team.
Don’t miss this prestigious opportunity! The UCLA Department of Economics Undergraduate Research Fellows Program application deadline is next WEDNESDAY, Sept. 28. Selected fellows will receive a stipend of $2500 per quarter (up to a maximum of three quarters), work closely with Economics faculty, and present their findings at a special event in June 2017.
Learn more about the program at a special info session hosted by the Chair of the Economics department, Kathleen McGarry
The NSF Mathematics Institutes will be hosting their annual SACNAS pre-conference event, the “2016 Modern Math Workshop,” from October 12-13, 2016 in the Long Beach Convention Center. The workshop is designed to encourage minority undergraduates to pursue careers in the mathematical sciences and to assist undergraduates, graduate students and recent PhDs in building their research networks.
