Kurnitz Writing Award - $3,800 in Award Funds!

The Dashew Center for International Students and Scholars (DCISS) is offering a great scholarship opportunity for international undergraduate and graduate students. A UCLA tradition for over 40 years, the award seeks to reward non-native English speakers for their ability to showcase their creative writing skills. Students are asked to submit original pieces, ranging from screenplays, novels, short stories, poetry and more.

Many History majors assume that, with their de-gree, they have one of two options: either attend law school or go on to earn a PhD in History. John Rethans and Dormain Drewitz, who graduated UCLA with BA degrees in History, did not follow either of these tracks.
