The Undergraduate Research Center – Sciences will be accepting applications for the 2020-2021 Undergraduate Research Scholars Program (URSP) from May 15 – June 20, 2020. The URSP awards scholarships to students conducting a research project with a UCLA Faculty during the 2020-2021 academic year. Juniors are eligible to receive up to $4,500 and seniors are eligible to receive up to $6,000.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • 3.25 GPA minimum
  • Must have a current STEM research project with a UCLA Faculty
  • Junior or Senior standing in Fall 2020
  • Expected graduation date of Spring 2021 or later
  • Cannot have completed the URSP more than two times
  • No citizenship requirement – undocumented and international students are welcome to apply

 

Major program requirements include:

  • Maintain full time status during the 2020-2021 academic year
  • Conduct the proposed research project during the 2020-2021 academic year
  • Enroll in a 99, 196, 198, or 199 course for two of the three quarters of this program
  • Complete a departmental honors thesis or comprehensive research paper by Spring 2021
  • Present at Research Poster Day in Spring 2021
