Already struggling in math courses like Math 33A? Wondering what upper division mathematics courses will be like?
Math 95 (Transition to upper division mathematics) is designed for students who will be making the transition to upper division mathematics courses. This is the "proof course" that will give you an idea and an advantage of what to expect in upper division.
Additionally, the Mathematics Department is offering a limited number of need-based scholarships of $1,700 for the summer session course Math 95 (Transition to Upper Division Mathematics) to incoming students who have successfully completed multivariable calculus (UCLA course Math 32B or equivalent). This scholarship covers the full cost of summer tuition, textbooks and some transportation costs. Math 95 is designed for community college transfer students and advanced first year students who will be making the transition to upper division mathematics courses. For further information and to apply, please visit https://www.mathprograms.org/db/programs/457 by Friday, July 15, 2016 (late applications will be considered on a funding-available basis). Information about the course is available at https://ccle.ucla.edu/course/view/161C-MATH95-1?section=0.
Also, summer courses are not all full. In addition, we anticipate that a certain number of students will drop during the beginning of summer school. Now is your chance to get ahead since enrollment during the school year is so competitive. Click here to see what courses we are offering!
