Wednesday, February 25, 2015
Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Happy Week 4! We hope studying is going well. The Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) at UCLA Chapter invites you to attend our second General Meeting of Winter Quarter this upcoming Wednesday, January 28 from 5:30-6:30pm in BSRB 154. Food will be provided and we will be hosting a Postdoc Panel. We will be holding a Postdoc 101 panel. Postdoctoral training is necessary for most students interested in pursuing academic careers and aids in acquiring many other positions in alternative careers.  We invite students to come listen to a panel of postdoctoral scholars and hear their advice about the process of searching and acquiring the right postdoc, as well as advice for success as a postdoctoral scholar. See the attached flyer for more information.
SACNAS is a society of UCLA undergrads, graduate students and postdoctoral scientists dedicated to increasing the numbers of underrepresented students in higher education and in science. This group is open to ANYONE of ANY MAJOR who shares a common concern about equal access to education, has any interest in outreach and/or in opportunities for academic leadership and participation.
We look forwarding to seeing you there!
