2020 Workable Innovations for Living Longer Contest

The Society of Actuaries (SOA) Mortality and Longevity Research Program Steering Committee is hosting the Workable Innovations for Living Longer (WILL) Contest to generate new and innovative ideas that will help people extend their healthy life expectancy by social, physical, and/or psychological methods. We are currently seeking submissions from motivated students (actuarial and non-actuarial), faculty and others who have interest in contributing to a better society, while addressing a significant societal issue: the challenge of healthy aging.

This contest is an excellent opportunity for students in the U.S., Canada and the UK to showcase their ideas. For students, the contest can also help them refine their presentation and communication skills. To participate, submit a video and written explanation of the idea. Entries will be judged on originality, practicality, clarity of pitch, and imagct of the idea. Up to five finalists will have the opportunity to present their idea at the 2020 SOA Annual Meeting & Exhibit in Seattle. Winners will be announced live on October 26, 2020.
