Congratulations! Your campus has been chosen to participate in KPMG’s Innovation & Collaboration Challenge (KICC)! As one of only 25 universities selected, UCLA students will compete head-to-head against some of the brightest students across the country for the chance to compete against the world in an all-expenses-paid trip to the international finals in Buenos Aires, Argentina! During KICC, you’ll work in teams of four to explore global issues, tackle big business briefs and even see your ideas make a difference in the real world.

Winning team will compete in the West Coast Regional Competition

What happens at the local level challenge?

Round 1 is held at the local school level. If selected, your team will compete against other student teams from CSUN, LMU and UCLA. Each team is given the same case and will have about 48 hours to read and prepare for their case presentations. Teams may not perform research using the internet or any other mediums. The only resource to be utilized is the case itself. Teams may only use the PowerPoint template provided. Each team will be required to present a 20 minute presentation followed by a 10 minute Q&A from the judging panel.

Who is eligible to apply?

  •          Student teams must consist of 4 members to compete – no more, no less – with at least 1 male & 1 female. *Note: You must create your own team.
  •          All team members must be currently enrolled in year 1, 2, or 3 of their studies. Students may not be in the final year of their studies, and cannot be Masters, PhD, or other advanced degree (Graduation date must be between December 2019 - August 2022)
  •          At least 1 member is required to be an intended or declared accounting major. However, the most successful teams in prior years have included a variety of majors including (but not limited to): Accounting, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.
  •          Team members may not have a signed offer (internship or fulltime) with a KPMG competitor
  •          All team members must have a 3.0 GPA or above
  •          All team members must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future and they must have a valid passport


How can my team apply?

  1.      We have a limited number of teams that can participate. We will choose the participating teams based on your application. *Note: You create your own team.
  2.      Application link: Click here to apply. (Deadline to apply: November 1 at 12pm)
  3.      You need to select a team name that will uniquely identify your team during the application process. Each individual on the team needs to submit an application. You will need to use your Team Name so ensure it is spelled the same as your other team members.
  4.      You must upload your resume and unofficial transcript as part of the application. You can only upload ONE pdf. As such, please combine your resume and transcripts into ONE pdf. The resume should be the first page and then your transcript will start on page 2.
