Citadel West Coast Regional Datathon for UCLA Mathematics Students

We are extending this invitation to participate in the upcoming West Coast Datathon to a select group of talented undergraduate, graduate and PhD students from UCLA. If you are curious to see what a Data Open competition looks like, we encourage you to view this brief clip from our past Dublin Datathon!


The Data Open challenges students from the world's best universities to tackle real-world social challenges in topics like urban traffic, renewable energy, education, and more. This February, The Data Open is coming to the West Coast! Please note that Citadel will cover the cost of transportation (and potentially overnight accommodations) for invited participants from UCLA.


The West Coast Datathon will take place on Saturday, February 23rd from 8:00am-6:00pm at UC Berkeley. Highlights include:


  • $25,000 in cash prizes! 
  • The chance to showcase your skills tackling a meaningful, real-world problem!
  • Automatic entry to The Data Open Championship for winning team, where teams will compete to win $100,000 in cash prizes!
  • Possible interview opportunities with Citadel & Citadel Securities!
