Thursday, May 3, Begining at Noon

The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music announced today “Song of Ourselves,” a day of pop-up performances, concerts, a world music showcase and a series of scholarly programs, designed to not only entertain, but to stimulate dialogue on issues of diversity, equity and inclusion across the school. Everyone is welcome to attend and all events are FREE!

"Dinkinesh" = the name given to the earliest known human remains, female, found in Ethiopia (aka "Lucy"). The word "Dinkinesh" translates as "You are marvelous."

Final Event! DINKINESH (The Concert)

Our day-long celebration concludes with a concert featuring singer-songwriter Eva B. Ross, winner of the 2017 UCLA Spring Sing.
