Lloyd Shapley Selected for The Best Writing on Mathematics: 2014
UCLA professor and Nobel Prize recipient, Lloyd S. Shapley, has been selected for the prestigious collection The Best Writing on Mathematics: 2014. The collection is an expertly curated annual celebration of important math writing or speaking. Shapley's article, “College Admissions and the Stability of Marriage,” co-authored with Berkeley’s David Gale and originally published in The American Mathematical Monthly, appears alongside stellar contributions from Brian Hayes, Mark Braverman, Bruce Torrence, John Conway, Jordan Ellenberg, and Francis Edward Su, among others.
