Eligibility Requirements
Must be be enrolled in a full-time master's or doctoral degree program at an acc redited U.S. university when receiving the award. Must be seeking a degree in relevant space technology disciplines. 3 letters of recommendation. Personal Statement. Project Narrative. Degree Program Schedule. CV. Transcripts. GRE scores.

Stipend
Annual stipend of up to $36,000 per year, an additional $19,000 for tuition/fees and health insurance.

Program Description
National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) supports graduate students with an up to 3-year fellowship to research space technology at NASA or in a lab. Space Technology efforts will improve the Nation's leadership in key research areas, enable far-term capabilities, and motivate disruptive innovations that make science, space travel, and space exploration more effective, affordable, and sustainable. Selected candidates will perform graduate student research at their respective campuses and at NASA Centers and/or at nonprofit U.S. Research and Development (R&D) laboratories. Master's degree support may be renewed for no more than 1 year. Doctoral degree support may be renewed no more than 3 additional years. In addition to his or her faculty advisor, each student will be matched with a technically relevant and community-engaged researcher who will serve as the student's research collaborator.
