The Fellows of the American Mathematical Society program recognizes those who have made significant contributions to the creation, exposition, advancement, communication, and utilization of mathematics. This Fall, 3 UCLA mathematics professors, including 2 emeriti, were recently elected in the 2014 class of AMS fellows.

UCLA Math ranked 4th in the list of Best Schools for Math Majors according to the 2013 - 2014 PayScale College Salary Report. Other schools within the top five include UCSB, UCSD, UC Davis, and UC Berkeley.
