Grad student, Jialin Liu, wins ICIP's 2017 best student paper award
UCLA math's third-year PhD student, Jialin Liu, received "Best Student Paper: Third Place" at the 2017 International Conference on Image Processing (Beijing, China) for his paper Online Convolutional Dictionary Learning. The paper was co-authored by Cristina Garcia-Cardona (Los Alamos National Laborator), Brendt Wohlberg (Los Alamos National Laborator), and Professor Wotao Yin, UCLA. Brendt served as Jialin's internship mentor during summer 2016. The paper has been posted online as UCLA CAM 17-52 and can be viewed on the awards website here.
