Math 121  Final Exam Info

Time: 8-11am on Monday, March 18

Location: MS 5118 (our usual classroom)

What is covered?  All the material from the course, with more emphasis on the latter half.

No aids (in particular, no books, notes, and electronic devices) are allowed on the exam.

Approximate number of problems: 8-10.

The problems on the exam can be of the following types:

  1. Giving definitions of basic terms and stating the main theorems.
  2. True or false questions with justifications; if something is false, you need to provide a counterexample.
  3. Problems similar to HW problems (not the hardest HW problems).
  4. Problems where you apply the concepts you learned.

IMPORTANT: You must bring your ID card for admission to the exam.  To discourage cheating, I will also take snapshots of where everyone is sitting during the exam.

Regrade policy: Apart from scores being added up incorrectly, if you believe some problems were graded in error, you must submit a written regrade request by Friday, March 22.  Your entire exam will be regraded and it is possible for you to lose points.  Please also be advised that some random exams will be scanned before they are returned.
