[-1,1]}.
You may use the Subspace Theorem (H-K (Book): Theorem 1 p. 35)
even if we do not get to it.
Wednesday 31 October 18: First Midterm
The test will cover material through the Classification of Finite Dimensional
Vector Spaces Theorem to be done Monday 22 October 18.
The exam will ask for definitions, examples, the statement and proof of one named theorem,
statements and consequences of other named theorems, and one proof of a result that you may not have seen.
On Homework 4, problems 2 and 3
you should have been asked to show the desired result, i.e., replace the word `Then' with `Show that'

It should have read A^m = 0 some m (not n).
