For the book, this tentatively means the following sections:
6.1, 6.2, 6.3.1, 6.3.2, 6.3.3, 7.1, 7.2.
For the homework, it means all problems assigned
up to (and including) Monday Oct 14th.
The midterm will consist of 4 sets of exercises a), b), c), etc.
Each set of exercises is worth 25 points (for a total number of
100
points).
The first 3 sets of exercises will require detailed work shown,
the
last set will consist of multiple choice questions.
Ground rules: Paper will be provided. Bring pencil and eraser.
No calculators.
Closed book (no note cards).
Please bring your photo ID to the test.Please mark your discussion
section on the exam (a, b, c, ...)
The test problems will be mostly like the homework.
