For the homework, it means all
problems assigned
up to (and including) March 14.
The Final Exam will consist of 8 sets of exercises a), b), c), etc.
Each set of exercises is worth 20 points (for a total number of 160
points).
The first 6 sets of exercises will require detailed work shown, the
last two sets will consist of multiple choice questions. I remind you
that the
Final Exam counts for 40% of your final score. The other 240 pts (60
%) come from:
100 pts (or 25%) each Midterm Exam and 40 pts (or 10%) for the HW.
Ground rules for Final Exam: Paper will be provided. YOU ARE NOT
ALLOWED TO REMOVE ANY PIECE OF PAPER
FROM YOUR EXAM !!!
No calculators.
Closed book (no note cards).
Please bring your photo ID to the test, as well as pencil and
eraser.
The problems in the Final Exam will be mostly like the homework.
("Mostly" means mostly, and "like" means that I think similar
methods are used.)
During exam week, I will have office hours as follows: Mo 03/17, We
03/19 and Th 03/20 from 9 to 10:30AM.
Also, on Wednesday March 19th I will
have a Review Session in PAB 1425 (Physics&Astronomy) from
6-7pm.
