Homeworks
Week 1. Solve Problems 1,2,5,6 and 7 from the end of Chapter I. Read the solutions to Problems 3 and 4.
Week 2. Read Sections 1.4 through 1.6. Solve the following problems from the end of Chapter I: 8,9,10, 14, 15,16,17,18, 23 and 27. Study the solution to Problems 13 and 29 presented in the book.
Week 3. Read Sections 2.1 through 2.3. Solve the following problems from the end of Chapter I: 30, 31, 33, 35, 36, 39, 49, 52 and 55.
Week 4. Read Sections 2.4 and 2.5. Solve the problems (end of Chapter II): 2,3,5,6,7,9 and 10. Read the solutions Problems 11 and 12.
Week 5. <--- Note homeworks will be from now on be posted on pdf format (click on the left to get the file)
Week 6. Covers computations using conditioning and independence for random variables.
Week 7. Covers basics of continuous random variables and some properties of the normal distribution.
Week 10. (Final homework) Covers continuous multi-dimensional random variables, conditioning, and the continuous Bayes rule.
