The first midterm is Monday, January 30, from 8-8:50am. It will in Moore 100. (The second midterm will also be in that room.)

Homework 3 is due Friday, January 27, at the beginning of class. Also posted is part of Homework 4, which will be useful in studying for the first midterm.
Homework 2 is due Friday, January 20, at the beginning of class.
Homework 1 is due Friday, January 13, at the beginning of class. Note that the assignment has been shortened.
The first day of class is January 9.
Homework assignments are due at the beginning of lectures on Fridays, and graded assignments will be returned in discussion sections. Late homework will not be accepted. Your lowest two homework scores will be dropped. You are encouraged to discuss homework problems with other students, but you should always write your own solutions to the homework problems. Submitted assignments it should legibly written, with your name and section clearly indicated at the top of the first page, and multiple pages should be stapled together.
There will be two mid-term exams, each held during normal class hours. The final exam will be Thursday, March 22, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM, in the Ackerman Grand Ballroom. You will be allowed to bring in one sheet of paper containing any notes that you want. This must be readable without supplemental magnification. All electronic devices (including calculators, but especially cell phones) must be OFF during all exams. Please bring your student ID with you to each exam.
Make-up exams will not be given, late homework will not be accepted, and you must take the final exam in order to pass the class. However, the lowest two homework scores will be dropped, and your final score will be the maximum of the following two scores:
If you have any complaints about grading, including improper recording of scores, you must bring your complaint to the attention of the instructor within 14 calendar days of the date the assignment in question was due, or exam in question was written, and before the final exam. Grading complaints not brought forward in this time frame will not be considered.
Grades will be viewable on MyUCLA.
