    Homework assignments:

  • Please write your name and student ID on each sheet and staple the sheets together. On the front page also indicate your discussion section (labeled A-F). Your presentation should be neat and clean. I recommend using a pencil. Homework that makes a sloppy appearance or where large parts are crossed out will not be accepted.

  • Homework has to be turned in on Fridays before class has started. I will also accept it, if it is handed to me right after class or if I find it under my office door when I return from class.

  • Late homework will not be accepted. No exceptions! It is your responsibility that I get the homework in time. If, on occasion, you need an extension of the due date for whatever reason, I am happy to grant it if I am asked 24 hours in advance (that is, by noon of the Thursday before the homework is due).

  • Your lowest score from all homework assignments will be dropped.

  • If you have specific question about the grading of the homework, please contact our grader, Jia Li. Her e-mail address is: ali23 at ucla.edu (replace ``at" by ``@").
