Announcements:
This quarter I am the TA for two lectures of 32A. If you see me at 12:00, you are in Dearicott's
class (my Tuesday section is 2A, my Thursday section is 2B). If you see me at 2:00, you are in Duke's
class
(my Tuesday section is 3C, my Thursday section is 3D). Make a
note of your section number; it should be on all your assignments, and
you will need to know it for exams.
I prefer not to communicate
over email if the issue is something that can easily be discussed in
person. Having said that, if you'd like to send me a note,
here's some advice!
If you are in Professor Duke's lecture, here are some selected homework solutions.
Homework 1Homework 2Homework 3Homework 4Homework 5Answers to Duke's practice midterm (let me know if you find any mistakes):
1a. <t, 1 + 3t, 2 - 2t>
1b. <3t, 1 - t, 2 - 2t>
2a. x + 2y + 3z = 14
2b. 3x - 8y - z = -38
3. V = 6
4a. 1/sqrt(21)*<1,2,4>
4b. sqrt(11)/(21sqrt(7))
