In recent years materials modeling has become an important research area in Applied Mathematics. In our group,
we combine the development and application of new mathematical models and numerical techniques with cutting
edge research problems in modern Materials Science. Our main research interests
are modeling of thin film growth,
elasticity theory, and
quantum computing.

Our group consists of people with backgrounds in Mathematics and Physics. We have close interactions to Members
of the Materials Science Department at UCLA, and local industrial research laboratories.
We are a friendly and collaborative group.
