I am a fourth-year graduate student in the UCLA math department. I study analysis and enjoy focusing on topics with a strong geometric flavor. So far, this has included the theory of negatively-curved metric spaces and uniformization of fractals, where ideas are often motivated by conformal geometry but developed using more general analysis on metric spaces.
