Material: Lectures will be based on material from Chapters 1 through 7 and Chapter 9 (Not all of the material from these Chapters will be covered).

Grading.
One midterm: 25 percent
Homework: 25 percent
Final: 50 percent

Midterms.
Midterm: Monday, May 7
Final Exam: Wednesday, June 13, 11:30 am - 2:30 pm

There will be no makeup exams for the course. If the midterm is missed for emergency reasons, see Professor White for a revised grading policy.

Homework will usually be assigned once a week on Monday and will be due on the following Monday. No late homework will be accepted.

Syllabus: The course will start with Chapter 1 (1.1 through 1.3) and Chapter 2 (2.1 through 2.4). Weekly material and homework for the course will be listed under virtual office hours on the web site for the course. These two items will be updated weekly as the course progresses.
