Research

  1. Aggregation Swarming
  2. Flow Estimation & Decomposition
  3. Heart Valve Simulation

Swarming and Aggregation: A group of particles whose motions are governed by an attractive repulsive interactive law can form various patterns, from a simple circle, to various types of curves, or to a space filling pattern, or even to several spots. Analysis can be done via linear and non- linear stability analysis. Applications range from artificial inteligence, social network, to physics, chemistry, etc.

Flow Estimation & Decomposition: To recover the flow field from a sequence of satellite images of SST or vorticity data, one needs to integrate physics into the optical flow model. We are looking for a reasonable method which combines both simplicity and accuracy.

Heart Valve Simulation: We simulate the flow of blood through the opening and closing of heart valves by the immersed boundary method.

Personal

I'm a believer of Jesus Christ. He is the complete God, and also a perfect man. He emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, becoming in the likeness of men; and being found in fasion with man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, and that the death of a cross(Philippians 2:7-8). Through his incarnation, Grace and reality came(John 1:17); and through his death, he might destroy him who has the might of death, that is, the devil, and might release those who because of the fear of death through all their life were held by death(Hebrews 2:14-15). And in his resurrection, he became the life giving Spirit(1 Corinthians 15:45), and this Spirit regenerate all his belivers to have God's life and nature, giving life to our spirit, soul, and body(Romans 8:2,6,11), so that one day, we will be like him.
