About Me

My name is Huang Hao (read as “h”+”won” in “wonder”,  “hou” in “house”). You can also call me Richard if you speak English or French, or Ricardo if you speak Spanish. (Je comprends  un peu le français et je souhaite pratiquer mon français!)

I was born in Shantou, a city located in South China. A world-famous mathematician is born in this city too. Just guess who he is? Answers

I received a B.S. degree in Peking University(or Beijing Univ. or Beida) in 2007. At the same year I entered Department of Mathematics in UCLA as a pure math graduate student. Now I haven’t decided my main field of study in mathematics, but I will try to find my interest in the next two years, maybe analysis, maybe number theory. Because I find I have little talent of geometric intuition, and algebra is a little too abstract for me. I also have some experience in applied mathematics in my undergraduate years. However, if possible, I will pursue my Jugendtraum of pure maths.
