notes while in the exam.

Grading: Each midterm exam counts about 20% of your grade, the
homework counts about 10% and the final exam counts about 50%. The grading is on a
curve. About 15-20% of students will receive A- or above, and about
30-35% will receive the grade between B- and B+.
A student who misses the final exam may receive an incomplete
grade "I" provided he or she
(i) has taken and passed the two midterm exams,
(ii) has completed the homework at a passing level,
(iii) contacts the instructor on or before the day of the final
exam to arrange a conference, and
(iv) presents documents explaining his or her circumstances
(such as medical emergency).
If any one of the above four conditions is not met, the student who
misses the final exam will be automatically assigned the grade " F".
Homework is assigned below in this
class web page, some of which will be explained in the following quiz
session. The homework is due in class on the day indicated in each
assignment.
Each student is required to submit homework in class or to TA by 10.50AM
on the day. On the top of the front page of your homework set, print
