GSO SPORTS: "If at first you don't succeed, pretend you are not trying."

News:

1) There was a tie for the top seed. The Coordinator tossed a quarter to determine the top spot, and it came up for Jed.

2) Some people have asked about what to do if the ball hits the ceiling. From now on, the ceiling will be ruled out of bounds, and the play is dead. Treat the ceiling as you would if the ball hits the floor.

3) Alternate sides every two games. The person of lower academic rank gets to choose the initial sides.

Tournament of Champions:

The first two rounds will be best out of 5 games, and the semifinals and finals will be best out of 7 games. We will update the times and dates when we hear back from everyone. For a larger and printable bracket click here.

Rules:

The Open will be played with the official USATT rules for table tennis. When two competitiors engage for combat, they will play a best of 5 game series. Each game is played untill one player has at least 11 points and a 2 point lead. Serve will be alternated every 2 points. The competitor of higher academic rank, serves first. You may play with your own equipment, we will provide enough padles and balls for everyone.
