- ARML (American Regions Mathematics League)
GSO will host the 5th Annual UCLA American Regions Mathematics League (ARML)
meet on may 20th, 2000. High school teams from throughout Los Angeles have
been invited to attend this practice meet in preparation for the national
meet, three weeks later at UNLV.

- "How to pick an advisor"
Thursday 6/7, 3pm: This will be a panel
discussion of advanced graduate students discussing their experiences with
choosing an advisor, as well as general wisdom about such things. There
will also be a panel of faculty to share their expectations of their
students.
- "How to Apply for a Job"
May 31st, 3pm, Grad. Lounge:
How to go about searching for and landing your dream job

- Graduation Dinner
GSO will hold a dinner to recognize this year's Ph.D. recipients in early
june (after the filing deadline...:)
