About Me
I am a third year Mathematics PhD. student at the University of California, Los Angeles. I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a minor in Physics and am originally from Arlington Heights, IL. I finished my masters last spring and passed the Spring 2011 Algebra Qualifying exam and Fall 2011 Analysis Qualifying exam. I am interested in Operator Algebras and am currently studying Type III von Neumann algebras.
My non-Mathematical interests include playing guitar and music in general, art (mainly pencil and charcoal drawing), bicycling, and, like any good UCLA Math grad, ping-pong. I have also been trying to teach myself Haskell, a functional programming language.
