- Testing
-
Homework: weekly, due every Friday - see details below.
Midterms: Monday, April 18 and May 16, 1:00-1:50 pm, in special room Haines 39.

Sections B D F in room HUMANTS A51.
There will be NO MAKE-UP, neither for homework, nor for the mid-terms, nor for the final exam!
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU HAVE A TIME CONFLICT FOR THE FINAL EXAM!
- Grading
-
Homework grade computed over the 8 best among the 10 weekly grades. General final grade computed from best of the following two variants:
- 20% homework grade + 20% midterms grade + 60% final exam grade.
- 20% homework grade + 10% best midterm grade + 70% final exam grade.
Regrades on homework or exams must be requested within two weeks of the due date or exam date. After this time, no requests for corrections will be honored.
- Homework
-
The best way to learn the material is to do lots of exercises, even beyond the ones assigned below. For instance, each chapter has additional exercises (on p. 38 for Chap. 1, e.g.). Reading additional material in the textbook is also encouraged.
The final answers to odd-numbered exercises are available at the end of the book. Only your solutions to some even-numbered ones will be graded, although credit will also be given for returning solutions to odd-numbered ones.
HW are due on Friday, at 1:00 pm sharp, in class. If necessary, you can return your HW directly to your TA before that deadline. Late homework won't be considered.
Don't forget to indicate your name and your section (A-F) on your HW !!
